Vermont gardens in the Lake Champlain Valley, perfect for outdoor weddings and events

We are casual, we are country!

From the moment you arrive at The Hidden Garden's Bed and Breakfast you will be surrounded by woods and gardens. Our contemporary Post & Beam home, partially furnished with antiques and oriental rugs, awaits your arrival. We'll get you settled in and on the way to a relaxing and peaceful visit.

In the morning the sun floods our kitchen with warmth as we prepare an ample and delicious breakfast.

We take pride in using Vermont products whenever possible in all of our culinary creations.

If you are an early riser, just stay in your nightwear and go from bed to the sunroom or sunken garden, with a cup of coffee or tea in hand.

You can turn on the water fountain, feed the gold fish and enjoy watching the birds, chipmunks and squirrels at the feeders, or relax in a lounge chair on our patio.

Here you can enjoy sun-up and country morning quiet.

Depending upon the number of guests and Marcia's mood :-), breakfast might be served at the kitchen island (above), in the sunroom overlooking the sunken wall garden...

...or in the formal dining room.

Guests are welcome to sit and read or chat in our sunroom or living room where you'll find our Vermont and gardening books.

We also provide wireless DSL internet service for ease of using your laptop during your stay.

Be prepared for a joyous greeting by our friendly tail wagging Labrador Retrievers. They love company and hope the feeling is reciprocal!

There are many activities and attractions to which you can drive. See some suggestions on our area page. Feel free to bring your bikes if you'd like to explore the area.

Come, join us! Get refreshed and relaxed at The Hidden Garden's Bed & Breakfast.

Your hosts, Marcia & Peter.

Thank you for
     a lovely rest
The room was great
     The food the best
This was a lovely place
     to be a guest
A calm-inducing
     place of rest

Charming grounds
     and cordial host
But I confess
     what I'll most miss
Is the wagging tails
     and friendly kiss
Of the Labs who play
     and live with you
At your Hidden Gardens
     with the lovely view

Dear Marcia and Peter,

Thank you for making our stay with you so lovely. We really felt very at home and your gracious hospitality really made us feel that way. We hope that we will be able to come back soon and again stay with you and your beautiful dogs. Have a wonderful holiday season and thank you again for everything!

Fondly,
Jim & Suzy Owen

Dear Marcia, Peter & Shadow,

Just a note to express our appreciation for your outstanding hospitality. The breakfasts were delicious and your gardens fed the soul. And Shadow truly made the visit special! We hope you call us when you come to Maine. We'll certainly return to Hidden Gardens if and when we're in the Brulington area again. Thanks for everything.

Warmly,
Ann & Bill

Dear Marcia and Peter,

Very belated thank you for your wonderful hospitatlity and generosity during my stay with you. As the first people I met, really, you set the standard, and helped ensure that one of my abiding impressions is of the warmth and friendliness of people in Vermont. You certainly helped make my holiday very memorable and full of interest. My 'breakfast menu' list has done the rounds - most people here think that Ireland is pretty much the gold standard in excellent breakfasts .... opinion is now shifting towards a certain New England state!!
